Li Yubao Donates 40 Million to Support Widows, Orphans, and War Victims in Burkina Faso


Ouagadougou: Li Yubao presented a check for 40 million CFA francs to the Burkina Faso Widows, Orphans, and War Victims Support Agency (ASVOVIG) on Thursday. The sum will be utilized to finance the education of orphans of FDS soldiers who lost their lives on the battlefield.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the significant donation was made by Li Yubao, who serves as a Special Advisor to the President of Burkina Faso. The check was handed over by representatives of the donor during a ceremony on Thursday morning. Wei Yang, representing Li Yubao, expressed that the donation is not just material assistance but also a commitment to the future, emphasizing the hope that every child can grow up with affection and care to build their future.



The donor’s representative extended gratitude to the government of Burkina Faso and all those contributing to bringing smiles back to the children of fallen heroes. Doctor Colonel Lamine Ouedraogo, Director General of ASVOVIG, expressed appreciation for the donation and highlighted it as a commitment from Mr. Li Yubao to support the children of heroes who fell on the field of honor.



Colonel Lamine Ouedraogo assured that this donation would help secure quality education for these future nation builders. In recognition of the generous gesture, the agency presented a certificate of recognition and a trophy to Li Yubao.



The Burkina Faso Widows, Orphans, and War Victims Support Agency, a government structure launched in 2024, aims to provide concrete support to the families of combatants killed or wounded in combat.
