Dedougou: On the night of Tuesday, September 2, 2025, a surge of solidarity and patriotism was established in Dedougou thanks to the initiative of the masons' collective, led by the Yorossi company. These craftsmen undertook, using their own funds, work to repair the road leading to the Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) 10 camp.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the entrance to the camp was in an advanced state of deterioration with potholes, causing inconvenience to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), as well as to local residents and users of this strategic route. Aware of the importance of reliable road infrastructure for the safety and well-being of the population, the masons of Dedougou took the initiative to act.

Under the leadership of entrepreneur Joseph Sama, founder of the Yorossi company, a team of masons mobilized on the night of Tuesday, September 2, 2025, to strip the damaged areas, remove the makeshift embankments and prepare for the installation of durable concrete. "We noticed that the asphalt in front of the camp's main entrance is badly damaged. As we passed by, we saw the difficulties the FDS and VDP were having in maneuvering. We thought it was a good idea to patch up these holes. This is our contribution to supporting their mission," he explained.

BIR 10 officials welcomed this civic gesture and expressed their gratitude to the artisans. This initiative illustrates the close collaboration between the army and civilian populations, strengthening social cohesion and demonstrating the concrete impact that community actions can have.

This voluntary project, carried out with dedication and determination, reflects a deep patriotic and civic commitment. With this gesture, these artisans are not only improving a strategic infrastructure; they are also affirming their commitment to collective development, while embodying the values of solidarity advocated by the highest authorities in the country.
