Yako: FC Galyam emerged victorious in the final of the 7th edition of the 72 hours of the B©og-N©r© Association of Passor© (ABNP), held on the Yako pitch. The decisive match saw FC Galyam defeat Racing Club du Passor© (RCP) 3-0 in a penalty shootout after the regular time ended in a draw.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event marked the conclusion of the 7th edition of the ABNP 72 Hours, which commenced on August 5, 2025, featuring 12 competing teams. The final, held on August 9, 2025, was attended by administrative, customary, and religious authorities, along with the youth of Passor©, who witnessed FC Galyam's triumph and their claim of the prestigious trophy.
The Galyam team was awarded the trophy along with 50,000 CFA francs, a ball, and a set of jerseys. Meanwhile, the runner-up RCP team received a mini-trophy, 40,000 CFA francs, a ball, and a set of jerseys. The third-place team, Relwend© FC, was granted 15,000 CFA francs, a set of jerseys, and a ball, whereas the fourth-place FC Pro team took home 10,000 CFA francs.
Boukary Zomodo, the president of the special delegation of the municipality of Yako and patron of the 2025 edition, expressed his satisfaction with the event's turnout and praised the youth of Yako for the successful annual gathering. Richard Banissi, the President of the organizing committee and head of the Beog-N©re Association of Passor©, echoed these sentiments, appreciating the teams' participation and their spirit of fair play.
Mr. Banissi highlighted the competition's theme, "contribution of youth to the promotion of social cohesion and the return of peace to Passor©," emphasizing its significance. He also acknowledged the support from local authorities and financial partners, which was crucial to the event's success.
In addition to the football tournament, the ABNP's 72 hours of activities included tree planting, a women's cycling race, and a blood donation drive, contributing to the event's overarching theme and objectives.
